We walked into our new home for the first time to find gifts and goodies to get us started. Their customer service is wonderful and it didn’t stop when the check is cashed. They have happily answered our questions about property lines, easements, heating system, and other first-time how buyer questions. I grew up in Helena and enlisted in the Military in 2004. After serving four years and traveling around the country I decided to move back to Helena. I had been home for about a year when I met the friendly folks from Davis Homes at the Home Show in Helena and began speaking with them about building a new house.

My fiancé and I had been looking at houses all over the Helena area and had so far been rather disappointed in the quality of home we were finding in our modest price range. Davis Homes was advertising new homes for $134,900, and I thought to myself, “This has got to be too good to be true”. I will admit I was a bit skeptical.

However, after sitting down and speaking with Jahna Davis, she assured me this could be done. Jahna provided me with a list of lots to choose from and a floor plan similar to what they would build for me and asked me what I thought. To be honest I was a little blown away, from my house shopping experience I had seen comparable houses on comparable lots for twenty to thirty thousand dollars more than what they were asking. So needless to say I liked it a lot!

So with that as a starting point, we began discussing things that my fiancé and I would like in our house; an island sink and bar, French doors, a large laundry room, a back patio etc.. A few days after this conversation John Davis provided me with a custom floor plan, containing all of the things that Jahna and I had talked about. To my surprise, the majority of the customizations we made to the floor plan didn’t even raise the price!

So with custom floor plan in hand, Jahna walked me through all the steps I would need to take; from picking out siding and roofing to flooring and interior paint. Jahna’s step by step direction and friendly personality have really made this experience fun and easy. Before I met with Davis Homes, if someone would have told me that I could have a totally custom house built for less than $140,000, I would have told them they were crazy.

Davis Homes is a local, family run business and it shows. Their friendly and outgoing staff has really gone the extra mile to not only make the home building experience easy, but fun as well! I would recommend Davis Homes to anyone in the market to build a new home, whether you’re a first time home buyer or an experienced home owner. Davis Homes will take the time to listen to your specific needs, make you feel comfortable, and get the job done right.

I am a first time home-buyer and I shopped around for 2 months looking for a new home.  No one had what I was looking for. Not even close.  Everyone was expensive and it they were adding charges on top of charges that weren’t “included” in the base price. No one wanted to work with me on the things that I wanted.

Davis Homes, on the other hand, listed to what I wanted and worked with me.  There were no complex issues with pricing.  It was simple, easy and straight forward.  Jahna Helped me with paint selection, siding and color choices and she even met me at the flooring store and helped me with my carpet and flooring! She explained the reasons to go with certain things in order to get the most out of re-sale which is not something I would have thought of.  I believe that I could not have found this with anyone else.

My Husband and I are in the process of building our first home, and we are so pleased to be working with Davis Homes Inc.

Never having built a home before we were overwhelmed and nervous about making the “wrong decision”. Lucky for us we found all of our concerns and questions answered by John and Jahna.  They really went the extra mile to make sure we knew every avenue that was involved with home building so there would be no unexpected surprises.  The last thing you want in the middle of such a daunting task is to be blind- sided, and the Davis Home Team has the experience to make sure that doesn’t happen.  I cannot thank Jahna and John enough for allowing me to be able to take a deep breath and enjoy the building process, it really can be FUN ! Here’s what I’d like people to know about Davis Homes: I am a single mom of 5 and Davis Homes was excellent to work with. John helped me pick a floor plan that suited my family’s needs and it truly fits! I loved picking out the colors for my carpeting, walls and linoleum and finding what suited me!
